We have already received some pretty great coloring contest entries, but if your child has not yet sent in a picture of what he/she is thankful for, there is still time!
Our Thanksgiving coloring contest is open to anyone ages 13 and under (with parental permission) and is running until November 16, 2012.
What Do I Have to Do?
Have your child grab some crayons or markers and a blank pieces of paper and draw what he/she is thankful for this holiday season. Need an idea to get started? The photo to the left is what some children have sent in telling us what they are thankful for!
What Can My Child Win?
We will select two winners in the coloring contest. The first place winner will receive a $100 gift card to Toys R’ Us as well as five minutes of fame to be featured as our cover photo on Facebook for the month of November and a mention in our monthly newsletter. A second place winner will also be chosen to take home a $50 gift card to Toys R’ Us, as well as a mention in our monthly newsletter!
How Do I Enter?
You can scan and email entries to firstname.lastname@example.org or post the scanned picture on our Facebook page. You can also snail mail or drop off the picture to our office located at 647 Oaklawn Avenue in Cranston, RI 02920.

Good luck and happy coloring! 🙂
After the housing market crash of 2008, the dream of owning a home seemed unattainable for the upcoming generation. Many recent college graduates and young professionals have disregarded the goal of owning a home and have become comfortable with being renters. However, due to record low rates and low housing prices, most of the time monthly mortgage payments are cheaper than paying rent. There has never been a better time to be a first time home buyer! There are new government guidelines that make becoming a home owner possible for the younger generation:
- 0% to 3.5% down payment – which can be gifted.
- Minimum credit score of 640.
- Educational background can be used as work history.
- Seller can cover closing costs.
All of these guidelines make purchasing a home much easier, especially for young adults. The new guidelines paired with low pricing of real estate, makes this the ideal time to purchase your first home!
As you have probably heard, mortgage rates are at an all time low. But don’t head into your new refinance blindly. Know your options!
One of our favorite programs we offer to clients who currently have an FHA loan is the FHA Streamline Refinance. It’s a great program that can not only lower your interest rate but significantly lower your monthly payment.
- There are no closing costs
- You may not need to get an appraisal
- You’ll get new fixed rates which are currently at an all-time historical low
- You don’t need your income documents to get approved
- If you’re refinancing an FHA loan that was taken prior to May 31, 2009, you can get a reduction in your monthly mortgage insurance and you can waive the upfront mortgage insurance premium.
